A west coast native both born and raised, Jasmine Benjamin would develop a passion for the craft of fashion from a very young age. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Merchandising and Design (FIDM) in Los Angeles, Jasmine thereafter deepened her study into applied practice, creating what would become a comprehensive body of experience. Demonstrating a rare sensibility for fashion and image marketing, Jasmine was granted unusually hands-on opportunities as an apprentice for Ashley Fox of Interscope Records (Director of Urban Music Marketing), facilitating the image direction of artists on the label. Before long, Jasmine began working closely alongside wardrobe stylist, Tiffany Hasbourne, and costume designer, Shawn Barton, swiftly accruing an invaluable wealth of expertise having worked with clients such as Outkast, Robin Thicke, Fantasia, 50 Cent, Paula Patton, Malinda Williams and on projects that include High School Musical, Burger King, David Letterman, Jay Leno as well as a host of commercials and music videos before setting off on her own.

Since launching her career as Wardrobe Stylist and Costume Designer in 2006, Jasmine Benjamin has created costumes for and/or styled seasoned artists like Chaka Kahn for her celebrated 2007 comeback tour, Common, and Les Nubian, as well as rising stars such as recording artists and pop culture darlings, J*Davey (Warner Bros.), rap group and MTV Video Music Award winners, U-N-I, country music artist, Rissi Palmer, and model, C.C. Sheffield. Currently Jasmine is based in both Los Angeles and New York, dressing all maneqiunnes and windows for Opening Ceremony NYC.
